Intraoperative Monitoring
Today,
intra-operative monitoring is emerging as the gold standard of care for
patients undergoing spinal surgery or neurosurgery. Surgeons, the
surgical team and hospital administrators all recognize the need for and
economic benefits of high-quality IOM.
American Intraoperative Monitoring END
technologists are continuously collecting data obtained from your
central nervous system throughout the procedure. This information is
relayed to your surgeon during the surgical procedure. Our interpreting
physician, who is located at a remote site, is able to observe and
control the monitoring in real time during the procedure via a link to
the on-site tech's computer. This technology allows for real-time,
continuous intraoperative monitoring for the entirety of each surgery.
American Intraoperative Monitoring is dedicated to making surgery a
safer endeavor for each of our patients.
AIM
uses the Protektor system, which is the leading-edge IOM system by
XLTEK.
The Protektor provides medical professionals
with all the information necessary to make immediate and critical
surgical decisions. By combining flexibility with multi-modality, the
Protektor allows for the full spectrum of today's intra-operative
monitoring techniques.
